A few noteworthy Butkovich & Associates, Co. LPA cases

 

April 2014: In a case tried in Butler County, Judge Powers adopts the decision of the magistrate and finds injured worker Brandy is allowed to participate in the workers’ compensation fund for the conditions of disc protrusion and degenerative disc disease at T10-11.

December 2013: Judge Nadel adopts the decision of the magistrate who found injured worker Ray is entitled to participate in the workers’ compensation fund for the conditions of disc protrusion at L3-4 with radiation in a dermatomal pattern into both lower extremities.

November 2013: Judge Stich finds injured worker Sarah is entitled to participate in the workers’ compensation fund for the condition of uncovertebral arthrosis at C5-6 resulting in spinal stenosis.

October 2013: Judge Ruehlman grants a favorable verdict on behalf of injured worker Phil finding that Phil is allowed to participate in the workers’ compensation fund for the conditions of disc protrusion at C6-7 with nerve root abutment, spinal stenosis at C6-7, left shoulder tendonitis, AC joint degenerative arthritis of the left shoulder, disc protrusion at L3-4 and disc protrusion at L4-5.

October 25, 2012:  Judge Winkler finds injured worker James is entitled to participate in the workers’ compensation fund for injuries to his lower back relative to a May 2010 industrial injury.

October 2012:  Favorable jury verdict in personal injury case finding defendant responsible for multiple bodily injuries after striking plaintiff in a crosswalk. The award totaled $100K.

April 2012:  Law firm negotiates settlement of personal injury action resulting in award of $735,000.00 on behalf of client following fatal injuries suffered by her husband in a motor vehicle accident.

August 2011:  Judge Winkler issues favorable verdict on behalf of injured worker Robert finding Robert is allowed to participate in the workers’ compensation fund for the condition of atherosclerotic disease as a result of a 1976 industrial injury.
