Thousands of Vehicles Impacted by Accidents

Ford has recently issued two vehicle recalls in North America due to safety issues. In the first recall, approximately 51,500 Ford Transit Wagons with the 2015 to 2016 model are being recalled because of a rear seat buckle problem. According to Ford, when a heavy object is placed onto the buckle, it prevents proper latching.

In the second recall, an error in the seat massage function may inhibit front passenger airbags, increasing the risk of injury. The affected vehicles are 2016 Ford F-150 trucks that are equipped with multi-contour seats.

While no injuries have been reported, this isn’t always the case with recalls.  Unfortunately, some recalls occur after it’s too late, and many individuals aren’t even aware of them. Car manufacturers need to be held liable for injuries stemming from their product.

Start by checking if your vehicle has been recalled today, and if you are injured as the result of a recall, contact a car accident lawyer for help.
