Located on E. Court Street in downtown Cincinnati, between Main Street and Bowen Street, CTBC is a Tri-State law firm with tremendous experience and a winning record in the courts. CTBC has won thousands of claims with Ohio’s Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, the Attorney General of Ohio, and self-insured employers. Our tight-knit team has also excelled in the fields of personal injury law, Social Security benefits, legal malpractice, and wrongful death. We have a strong commitment to helping those who have been injured, and we work hard to fight for the underdog.
Our four principal attorneys:
William E. Clements
William Clements has lived in Hamilton County his entire life, and currently lives with his wife and three children in Symmes Township. He is a proud graduate of the Sycamore Unified School District, Miami University, and the University of Cincinnati College of Law. His practice focuses on personal injury cases, workers compensation, and matters of probate. He spends a great deal of his time either in court, or at hearings of the Industrial Commission. He successfully represented injured workers in many cases decided by the Ohio Supreme Court, including Blankenship v. Cincinnati Milacron Chemicals, Inc., and the oft-cited State ex rel. Noll v. Industrial Commission.
Catharin R. Taylor
Catharin Taylor lives with her husband and their two children in Cincinnati. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and before that, she earned a degree in finance from the University of Cincinnati College of Business. Before deciding to represent injured people by working with this firm, she represented insurance companies in auto accident cases. She has successfully represented injured workers in cases like Cole v. Complete Auto Transit, and she has argued cases in several Ohio Courts of Appeal. The Cincinnati Business Courier named her one of the “Best Lawyers in Southwest Ohio” in the area of workers compensation.
Joseph A. Butkovich
Joseph Butkovich and his wife, Kerry, have four children – Maggie, Molly, Patrick, and Sean. Joseph’s father, John Butkovich, founded Butkovich & Associates, but before joining the private practice, Joseph spent many years honing his skills in workers’ compensation suits elsewhere. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame and the law school at Capital University, he worked for the Industrial Commission of Ohio, as well as the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in their workers’ compensation division. He takes pride is his longstanding mission to help injured workers and their families.
Edward Cohen lives in Hyde Park with his wife. He has been a partner in the firm since 1988, and before graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, he earned a master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Indiana University. He has served as chair of the Workers Compensation Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association, and his practice focuses on workers’ compensation law, personal injury law, social security disability, civil appeals, and medical and legal malpractice. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Ohio Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyers in Southwest Ohio.
