Federal Government has stopped using the “ODG Guidelines”

The Federal Government has stopped using the “ODG Guidelines” in its data base to make treatment decisions, because the evidence underpinning the guidelines doesn’t meet new federal standards. These guidelines are used every day by the Ohio BWC system to make treatment decisions for injured workers in Ohio, and the BWC is quoted in this article as saying they will continue to use the ODG Guidelines. This is great information to use in disputes with the BWC over treatment denials.
