Law Firm Helps New Years’ Revelers Get Home Safely

new years eve

As Cincinnatians, we may occasionally have not-nice things to say about Clevelanders. And as personal injury lawyers, we may occasionally poke fun at other law firms.

In this case, however, we have nothing but praise for this Cleveland law firm.

Tittle & Perlmuter has offices in Cleveland and Elyria, and they work in the field of personal injury law. According to their marketing and client care coordinator, Carolyn Pippin, the firm will reimburse people who pay for rides home rather than driving intoxicated.

The first 250 people who submit receipts for drives taken between 5pm December 31st and 10am January 1 are eligible for reimbursement. There is a limit on distance – up to $30 for each ride – and any given household may only submit one receipt. The trip can also only be a one-way ride.

To be eligible, the ride must have a PayPal account and a valid driver’s license. A photo of the license and a screenshot of the receipt must arrive within seven days of New Years’ Eve to be considered.

Given the dangers on the road this time of year, and the number of lawsuits stemming from personal injuries attached to those dangers, the gesture from Tittle & Perlmuter is a noble one. We salute our neighbors to the north on their civic-minded offer, and we wish them – and you – a safe, healthy, and prosperous 2018.
